Talking to Yourself While Baking

Ever since I started baking, I have found it very therapeutic. This is the point where I tend to let out the thoughts I have in my mind and bring out an incredible design. On many occasions, I preimagine a technique that I want to put in my cakes and pastries, but I end up making designs from my brain. I feel this is highly influenced by what I think when baking.

I say baking is a passion since you have to stand in the kitchen for long hours and still have to wash a load of utensils before rest. You can’t do all this if you don’t have a passion. Doing this requires a lot of self-motivation, and it all happens when I talk to myself, “it is possible,” “I can do this,” and all this is governed by the breakouts I get when baking. Baking is very sensitive sine one single miss can ruin everything you have worked hard for. I mean, even missing a single gram can destroy the entire outcome of your recipe. They say you need a sobber mind to hack baking, but I say even in your confused and unstable state, you can still hack baking. What’s the trick? Just talk to yourself and narrate every step you are going, and you will be amazed by the outcome.

As a baker, I take baking as a mental health initiative since I do what I love most to release my mind. I talk to myself, I scream, I shout, and at the end of the three to four hours I am in the kitchen doing baking, I come out refreshed and happy about the product I have made. I look at my creations, and I am proud of myself, and this is the feeling I want to have for the rest of my life. My baking gives you an experience, and I wish to share every experience with my customers. Look out for more blogs and get to enjoy the process with me.
